When I first started making beads in 2003 I was absorbed with learning from Cindy Jenkins' book, 'Beads of Glass', Corina Tettinger's book, 'Passing the Flame', and Jim Kervin's book, 'Glass Beadmaking'. I was also fortunate to take classes from Ann Schermo Baldwin, Brad Pearson and Jen Geldard with a fun group of lampworking friends in the Hampton Roads area of Virginia.
I enjoy spending time on the torch whenever the opportunity presents itself. My professional career at a marine science field laboratory keeps me very busy from spring through fall but I try to sneak in time to make beads during the winter. I am a huge fan of working with and exploring glass from Double Helix Glassworks. Jed and Julie Hannay create exceptional glass items and I am proud to buy and use their products.
I invite you to look at the items in the Sold section of this site to see my past work. I also hope you enjoy my garden pictures in the album above and in my banner. I change my banner image periodically to show glimpses of nature and beauty from my day to day world. All my best, Steph
